Beyond medals, the competition offered insights into global industry trends, opening doors to future career opportunities. 陳詠琪出戰「櫥窗設計」賽項,憑著奪目的海底主 題櫥窗佈置,為香港蟬聯金獎。即使比賽時間緊 迫,陳詠琪仍能充分利用大會提供的基本材料營造 出豐富的海底世界,如將鐵絲網造成珊瑚石,並活 用把握日常來回比賽場地時間自學的日式摺紙技巧 摺出立體魚,令評判留下深刻印象。 陳詠琪將成功歸功於「黃金團隊」的全力支持,包 括HKDI 建築、室內及產品設計學系助理講師林倩 瑩(Aso)及校友顧問。團隊於比賽期間全程提供 指導,並遠程協助解決難題,是陳詠琪的致勝關鍵, 亦是她摘金之旅的最強後盾。 Chan Wing-ki (Mavis) notched up Hong Kong's second consecutive Gold Medal in Visual Merchandising with her stunning underwater-themed display. Faced with the competition's tight preparation window, Mavis impressed judges by transforming basic materials into an immersive ocean scene - crafting coral from wire mesh and self-learning origami fish techniques during her daily commute to and from the competition venue. Mavis attributed her success to the unwavering support of her dedicated training team, comprising HKDI’s Aso Lam, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Interior and Product Design, and fellow alumni advisors. The team’s round-the-clock guidance and remote troubleshooting during the competition proved invaluable, giving Mavis every possible support on her journey to the gold medal.
