Contents Message from Executive Director Sustainability Commitment Low-carbon Environment Education and Engagement Workforce Well-being and Development Awards and Recognitions Outlook Compared with the base year AY2018/19, the Council achieved a 5% reduction in electricity usage against a target of 6.5%, alongside a 12% reduction in water consumption and a 56% reduction in paper use – both exceeding their respective targets. Although electricity savings were slightly below the goal, the overall performance demonstrated strong progress toward our sustainability objectives. Moving forward, we will intensify electricity reduction through optimised air conditioning, lighting upgrades and equipment retrofits when funding is available. Water conservation will be sustained via flow controllers, sensor faucets and regular maintenance. Paper reduction will continue to benefit from digital learning, e-resource adoption and improved printing practices. These combined efforts establish a solid foundation for achieving long-term resource efficiency.
