VTC SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2023-2024 7 Carbon Audit In 2023, the VTC conducted a comprehensive carbon audit, meticulously assessing carbon emissions across 38 sites from AY2018/19 to AY2022/23. The VTC has made a significant stride in reducing its total carbon emissions since the base year AY2018/19. Total carbon emissions recorded in AY2022/23 amounted to 39,093 tonnes of CO2-e, with carbon emissions per area at 0.063 tonnes of CO2-e/m2. In AY2022/23, total carbon emissions per area was 16% lower than the level of the base year AY2018/19, indicating the effectiveness of ongoing strategies and efforts for carbon reduction.
