These efforts highlight our dedication to engaging diverse stakeholders in pursuing a sustainable future. Community Contribution "NEW Energy NEW Generation" EV Weeks introduced sustainable technologies through solar car showcase IVE Engineering Discipline collaborated with 19 secondary schools. 12 picture books produced to educate children about ecological conservation Child Education Centre for Teaching & Learning supported by the Environment and Conservation Fund. "Sustainability Living Show" showcased artisan outfits and tote bags transformed from recycled garments for charity sales YC Fashion and Beauty Care students collaborated with The Salvation Army and the Central Market. TREE Upcycling Project co-created with youths to innovate and regenerate local tree resources HKDI Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability (DESIS) Lab sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. First Net Zero STEAM Bus renovated as a solar-powered classroom from a retired bus IVE Engineering Discipline collaborated with a local secondary school. Plastic Bag Upcycling Community Workshops transformed used plastic bags into fashionable items YCI Design programme collaborated with GREEN@COMMUNITY. Student craftsmanship of upcycled fashion accessories with sheltered centres' trainees Community Engagement Unit lined up THEi Fashion Design students with St. James’ Settlement Jockey Club Upcycling Centre. Student projects in "Sustainable Development Goals" themes showcased in community events Community Engagement Unit organised the events under the “Community Connect with VPET” initiative of the VTC.
