Sustainable Building Design and Construction Certification Principles New Building Development The VTC applies for BEAM Plus green building certifications for all its new building projects, with a target of achieving the second-highest rating at a minimum. Renewal of Existing Buildings The VTC is reviewing the renewal of green certification applications for its existing building portfolio. As well as reassessing their performance, steps will be taken as necessary to maintain or improve their certification levels over time. Digitalisation The VTC is embarking on an initiative to harness building information modelling (BIM) and digital platforms for insights on sun exposure, thermal analyses, etc. to optimise architectural design, and the operation and maintenance of building services systems.
