VTC Admission Day 2023

Applicants may apply for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education, Diploma programmes at the “VTC Admission Day”. Applicants will be notified of the offer results on the day of submission of application.

Application Methods

Applicants may join the “VTC Admission Day” via “VTC S6 Admission Portal” (https://s6portal.vtc.edu.hk) for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education and Diploma programmes.  Applicants may also go to IVE (Haking Wong) / THEi (Chai Wan) / THEi (Tsing Yi) campuses in person for joining the “VTC Admission Day” and enquiry.

 

Eligibility

Degree	Level 3 or above in the HKDSE English Language and Chinese Language; AND Level 2 or above in the HKDSE Mathematics, Liberal Studies and one Elective Subject; OR Equivalent
Higher Diploma	Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; OR VTC Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR VTC Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate; OR Diploma Yi Jin; OR Equivalent
Diploma of Foundation Studies	Completion of Secondary 6 (under the New Senior Secondary Academic Structure); OR Equivalent
Diploma of Vocational Education	Completion of Secondary 6 (under the New Senior Secondary Academic Structure); OR Equivalent
Diploma	Completion of Secondary 6 (under the New Senior Secondary Academic Structure); OR Equivalent

 

Remarks :

1. Holders of Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) and holders of Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirement).
2. Upon completion of the Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) programmes, students can progress to degree or higher diploma programmes in VTC, subject to their BTEC and IGCSE results. Students shall pay attention to the specific entrance requirements of some degree / higher diploma programmes (if applicable).
3. Some programmes are not applicable to holders of Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) / Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) / Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin; and some programmes may have other specific entrance requirements. Please refer to the specific entrance requirements of individual programmes.
4. Offering of study place is subject to the applicants’ academic qualifications, interview performance (if applicable), other learning experience and achievements, and availability of study places.
5. Applicants will only be given one study place at “VTC Admission Day”, any change or cancellation of offer given, or to apply for other programmes is NOT allowed before the registration deadline.

 

Application Procedures

• Fresh applicants who have NOT submitted application before
  • Please bring along (i) Hong Kong Identity Card; (ii) the originals and copies of academic qualifications, e.g. result slips of HKDSE / Diploma Yi Jin; (iii) 2^nd term result slip / testimonial showing completion of Secondary 6 study; (iv) Student Learning Profile, and related supporting documents; (v) other relevant academic qualifications (if applicable).
  • Register a new account via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal", pay application fee HK$300, and submit the programme choice (1 programme choice and 1 campus preference).

 

• Applicants who have already submitted an application for full-time S6 programmes and paid the application fee before 9 August 2023, but NOT yet been allocated a study place​
  • Please bring along (i) Hong Kong Identity Card; (ii) the originals and copies of academic qualifications, e.g. result slips of HKDSE / Diploma Yi Jin; (iii) 2^nd term result slip / testimonial showing completion of Secondary 6 study; (iv) Student Learning Profile, and related supporting documents; (v) other relevant academic qualifications (if applicable).
  • Login to “VTC S6 Admission Portal” and submit the programme choice (1 programme choice and 1 campus preference).

 

• The “VTC Admission Day” is only applicable to applicants without offers. Applicants who have accepted offer and completed registration procedures, but would like to apply for transfer to another programme OR offering institute / campus / centre, please download and complete the "Application for Transfer between Offers" and pay the application fee of HK$200 for each application of transfer. For details, please click here.
