Programme Aims
This programme aims to help students to develop, through a balanced curriculum with generic and vocational knowledge and skills, and structured whole person development competencies in a specific trade so as to enhance their opportunities for employment and / or further studies. The Print Media Programme covers mainly fundamental knowledge and skills required in various areas including graphic design, advertising, printing, publishing, packaging and digital image processing. Graduates may choose to seek employment or further their studies.
Career Prospects
Graduates may be employed as technician trainee, assistant production controller or technical assistant in the advertising, packaging, printing and publishing industries.
Upon completion of the first-year full-time study, students can join the printing industry as apprentices and further complete the Diploma of Vocational Education Programmes with both CVE and DVE awards in part-time mode.
Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Professional Recognition
Graduates who are employed and registered as apprentices in the relevant trades could be exempted part of the training required. The apprenticeship could thus be shortened, normally up to a maximum of 12 months.

  2. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
