It also aims to elevate the professional standard and status of Chinese chefs in order to strengthen Hong Kong’s reputation as the “Culinary Capital of Asia”. Furthermore, CCI strives to establish Hong Kong as a regional training and accreditation centre in Chinese cuisine by introducing trade testing. ICI provides quality and professional programmes with state-of-the-art facilities to groom aspiring youths to be well versed in international cuisines, covering cuisines of Europe, the Mediterranean, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia. It also provides bakery, pastry and confectionery as well as wine related programmes, supporting students’ successful career development in the industry. Trade Tests in Western Cuisine and Pastry as well as diversified articulation pathways leading to various professional qualifications are also provided. 海事訓練學院 MSTI (www.msti.edu.hk) 海事訓練學院旨在為新入行人士、在職海員、海事及岸上機構僱員 提供多元化海事及安全訓練課程,為業界提供優質的訓練服務,以 鞏固香港作為國際航運中心的地位。實務培訓課程涵蓋船舶知識、 遠洋航行、船藝、輪機、個人求生技能、救生船隻操作技能、海上 消防、海上急救及海上保安等領域,以配合業界需要及業內人士的 專業發展。 Maritime Services Training Institute (MSTI) is committed to providing quality training services and a wide range of marine and safety courses for new entrants, in-service seafarers, and employees of marine-related and shore-based industry which aims to strengthen Hong Kong’s status as the “International Maritime Centre”. Industryspecific training courses include ship knowledge, ocean navigation, seamanship skills, maritime engineering, personal survival skills, lifeboat operation skills, firefighting at sea, first aid at sea, and maritime security awareness to meet the needs of the maritime industry and lead to professional development.
