Every Monday - Friday,8:30AM -4:45PM

   

Entry Requirement:

17.5 years of age , Secondary 3 or above and a pass in the interview

 

 

Programme Features:

  • This certificate course aims to provide professional and responsive pre-employment skills training to school-leavers who wish to join the hotel and catering profession.
  • Students undergo training with a strong practical focus in all related aspects to ensure they acquire basic vocational knowledge, practical skills and a positive attitude to perform effectively in the workplace.

  • Introduction to the Organizational Structure of Hotel and Food & Beverage Industries
  • Food & Beverage Sanitation and Safety Rules
  • Utensils and Equipment Knowledge
  • Job-Related English and Putonghua
  • Food & Beverage Terminology and Knowledge
  • Chinese banquet setup and standard service service procedures
  • Customer complaint handling and case studies
   

Fee:

Free (Applicable to those whose highest level of education attained as S3)
HKD$2,230* (Applicable to those whose highest level of education attained as S4)
HKD$4,670* (Applicable to those whose highest level of education attained as S5)
HKD$7,000* (Applicable to those whose highest level of education attained as S6)

   

Remarks:

  • Medium of Instruction: Chinese supplemented with English Terminology.
  • Trainees are required to take a trade test before graduation; the relevant fee shall be paid by the trainees
  • Students enrolling for this course must maintain the health standards required of a food handler throughout the duration of training. This encompasses taking a medical check, at student's own expenses which includes urine routine, stool routine, stool culture (salmonella spp), hepatitis A virus Ab lgG and chest X-ray.
  • For students who have a negative hepatitis A virus result, a vaccine is recommended.
  • Applicants should have good sense of smell.
