In the latest version of WebCT, there is a Chat tool with Whiteboard. It allows you to communicate in real time with other users in the course.

You can also use the Chat tool's Whiteboard to draw objects, enter text, import images, and create slide shows that can be viewed in real time by other users.

A Chat and Whiteboard room, called the Common Room, is created by default.

Module designer can add this Chat tool to the module and design a learning activity for the students to participate in.
