What is Java? Why does WebCT need me to check the Java in my computer?
 

Java is a programming language which enables certain useful functions within WebCT CE. Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required.

To check if your version of Java is supported by WebCT CE, click the hyperlink "Check Browser " in the left column at the WebCT Portal page.

In general, Java Runtime Environment version 1.6.11 or later can be used to browse WebCT. You can download the software by clicking the hyperlink at the bottom of the WebCT Portal Page.
