Upon successful completion of each course, learners will receive:
 

a Certificate in Vocational English issued by the Vocational Training Council (VTC);
a Certificate issued by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International Qualifications (LCCIIQ)#3; and

a Language Performance Report issued by the Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP).

#3 An application fee applies.


Progression Pathways
 

On completion of a Certificate Programme, learners can progress to other certificate programmes at the next QF level.

 

Mode of Learning
 

Face-to-face (E-mode of learning is also offered in some of the courses. Please refer to Programme Details for more information.)

E-mode
Features:

y Face-to-face teaching and learning

y Flexible online learning schedule
y Professional tutors assigned to keep track of learners’ progress
y Multimedia materials provided to facilitate learning
Hours of Study per Course:

y QF Level 1 - 3 courses:
30 class contact hours and 30-hour Independent Learning Package provided (60-hour study in total)
y QF Level 4 courses:
30 class contact hours and 60-hour Independent Learning Package provided (90-hour study in total)

y 8-hour venue-based learning activities, including Induction Session, Tutorials, etc.
y 2-hour assessment
y A series of online learning activities and an Enrichment Package incorporated into the course
y Total hours of study:
   - QF Level 1 - 3 courses: 60 hours
   - QF Level 4 courses: 90 hours
Venue:

y VTC campuses

y The venue-based learning activities and assessment will be conducted at VTC campuses at designated time.
Target Learners:

y Suitable for working adults who are able to attend classes regularly

y Suitable for working adults who need a flexible learning schedule and possess basic computer skills

 


Operation Modes
 

There are two operations modes: Open Mode and Corporate Partnership Mode (Course provision services for individual corporations)


Entry Requirements
 

Level 1 Courses y Learners having studied English at F3 Level or equivalent #
Level 2 Courses y Learners having studied English at F5 Level or equivalent #
Level 3 / 4 Courses y Learners attaining Level 2 / Grade E (Syllabus B) in English Language in HKCEE, Level 2 in English Language in HKDSE or equivalent #
# Applicants who do not meet the entry requirement are required to pass an entry test before admission to the course.
