Q :

Am I qualified to apply for the Survival Cantonese or Socialising Cantonese Course?

A : The Survival Cantonese and Socialising Cantonese Courses aim at accommodating the social and vocational needs of the non-Chinese speaking population. You are qualified to apply if you are a Non-Chinese speaker aged 15 or above and a Hong Kong resident.
You are welcome to apply the Survival Cantonese Course if you possess basic English literacy skills and the Socialising Cantonese Course if you have completed Survival Cantonese Course or passed the entry test.

How much is the course for the Survival Cantonese or Socialising Cantonese Course?

A : HK$1,000

How should I pay the course fee?

A : You may pay the course fee by cheque or cash deposit.  For details, please refer to the application procedure (click here).

How do I know if my application is successful?

A : You should download an application form and send the completed application form to the VLPO.  Successful applicants will receive confirmation and payment notification by email. For details, please refer to the application procedure (click here).
Q :

How do I know the location of my classroom?

A : After submitting the payment slip to the VLPO, you will receive an email titled “admission notification” which gives you details of the location of the classroom.  If you do not receive this email a week before the scheduled commencement date, you are advised to contact the VLPO to check if your application is completed.  For details, please refer to the application procedure (click here).
