Student Activities - Introduction

The Language Centre runs exciting activities for students to improve their English communication skills in a relaxing atmosphere outside classroom. Events take place year round and are open to all interested Morrison Hill students. Some of our successful events in 2009-2010 were: Halloween Event, Travelogue Writing Competition, Christmas Celebration, Chinese Riddles and Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year Event. Information of our fun activities can be obtained from any of the staff in our staff list.

Starting from 2006-2007, an English Speaking Day is set on every Wednesday aiming at promoting an English Speaking environment outside the classroom. Teachers in the Language Centre patrol around the campus to encourage students to use English on that day. Activities related to English learning are also launched for all Morrison Hill students.

The Language Centre also has two native English speakers from the Chatteris Educational Foundation who are available at all times to help students to improve their English, especially through different non-academic activities. We have workshops and chat groups on Slang, Cultures, Interview Skills, etc. Details can be obtained from the activity timetable session.
