Independent Learning Area

An Independent Learning Area located on the 5/F of Learning Resources Centre (LRC) houses a wide range of materials that support English and Chinese language activities, and provides students a relaxing and resourceful environment to immerse themselves in independent language learning. Multimedia language learning materials including books, game sets, DVDs, VCDs and software packages (e.g. Clarity’s study skills success and Planet English) which are networked on the computers in the Area which are available for student use. Students may also access the Internet for research purposes using the computer or learn at their own pace and time through electronic and web-based medium.

The Independent Learning Area maintains a collection of Chinese and English books for use in the LRC. Students may also take language learning exercise away for practice.
