General Entry Requirements
| Craft (or Post-
Secondary 3/4) Courses |
The general minimum entry requirement for all craft courses is completion of Secondary 3; however, a few courses in the Commercial Studies, General Studies, Textile Industries and Clothing Technology disciplines only admit applicants who have completed Secondary 4 or above. |
| Bridging Courses | The minimum entry requirements are either completion of a relevant craft course or completion of Secondary 3/4. |
| Technician (or
Post-Secondary 5) Courses |
The general minimum entry requirement is four subjects at grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination; however, some courses may stipulate additional requirements. Many courses also admit graduates who have completed the General Courses or Technician Preparatory Certificate Courses in the institute. |
| Short Courses | The entry requirements vary widely from no formal entry requirement to that of possession of a relevant technical qualification plus relevant working experience. |
Note : An applicant who has reached 23 years of age on 1 September of
the year of application, not meeting the minimum entry requirement for
a particular course, may be considered for admission as a mature applicant.
