The 11th Hong Kong Robotic Olympiad: land-based robot first round (secondary school  category) was held at canteen, IVE (Tsing Yi) on 18 April 2009. This year, more than 400 secondary school teachers and students from 33 schools had joined this event.

The Hong Kong Robotic Olympiadwas jointly organized by the Hong Kong Robotic Olympic Association, Faulty of Engineering, the University of Hong Kong and the Department of Engineering, IVE (Tsing Yi).
