Articulation Arrangement
Graduates can apply for admission to the top-up degree programmes in Hong Kong offered by the following universities in collaboration with the Vocational Training Council :

Industrial Recognition
Graduates are now entitled to the following exemptions :
- The Chartered Insurance Institute, UK - 175 credits at Diploma Level in General Insurance; 49 credits at Certificate level in Financial Planning plus 20 credits at Diploma level in Financial Planning
- Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong - AFPTM Certification Education Program
- Society of Registered Financial Planners - Papers FP3020 – Insurance Planning, and FP3030 – Investment Planning (out of 5 papers)
- The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers - CFMPTM Module 3: Essentials of Banking and Financial Planning, and Module 5: Tax and Estate Planning
- The Institute of Certified Management Accountants - 10 units of ICMA professional examination (subject to meeting specific educational requirements of ICMA through the selection of subjects in the recognized program(s))
The course is recognised by the following professional body as satisfying the academic requirements for its senior associate membership :
- The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, Australia - Senior Associateship
(N.B. Professional body will normally review its curricular periodically. Students should check with the professional body concerned directly for latest exemptions.)
Career Prospects
Financial planning, financial services and investment are prospering in Hong Kong. Graduates may take up a number of posts at technical, supervisory or managerial level in banks, securities firms, insurance companies, etc. For instance, they can be employed as financial planner, marketing and customer services officer, insurance underwriter, claims officer, investment officer, securities dealer and the like.
