HKALE (1 A-Level subject or 2 AS-Level subjects at Grade E or above) AND
HKCEE (5 subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics); OR Equivalent.
Course Aims
The course aims to provide students with the basic academic, technical and management skills, fundamentals of accounting, legal framework for accountancy, quantitative methods and information technology applications in accountancy that will enable them to pursue careers in accountancy or related fields.

- Open University of Hong Kong : 18-month full time BBA(Hons) in Accounting,
- Leeds Metropolitan University : 9-month full time/ 18-month part time BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance
Industrial Recognition
Graduates are eligible for obtaining exemption from the following professional examinations :
- Partial exemption from the qualifying examination of the Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians (HKIAAT), and
- Partial exemption (6 papers out of 14) from the qualifying professional examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Career Prospects
Graduates may take up positions at managerial and supervisory levels in the accountancy field in areas such as financial accounting, auditing, management accounting and corporate administration. They can also be employed in other sectors of business where the need for accountancy and finance trained personnel is rapidly increasing.
