"Winning a prize in a large scale design competition boosts up my confident!"
""I enjoy living with my family and chitchatting with my neighborhood when I have spare time to build up good neighbourhood relations. However, with the fast-paced development and the blooming of the economy, relationship between one another becomes distant. I believe interior design could help to strengthen family solidarity and thus cultivate community harmony. In view of this, after completing secondary 5, I decided to take HKDI Higher Diploma in Interior Designto enrich my fundamental knowledge so as to pursue my dream. This programme did not only let me thoroughly understand fundamental knowledge such as architecture design for interiors and building structure, but also realize the importance of historical, social, cultural and technical factors to interior design as well as how to effectively handle a project.

In 2010, thanks for the encouragement from teachers, I won the bronze award of student category in the 18th Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards by turning stilt houses into a cultural Tai O Hostel and creating a harmony neighborhood environment. Such valuable experience boosts up my self esteem.

With the knowledge and interview skills I acquired in HKDI, I received two offers from interior design companies soon after I graduated. In the future, I hope to add more local culture elements into my design, hopefully, to enhance relationship between people in Hong Kong."
