The Hong Kong Special Administrative Government has accepted Higher Diploma qualification as one of the entry requirements for appointment of some civil service grades. IVE and HKDI higher diploma programmes emphasise practical training, and cover knowledge and skills that are needed and valued in Hong Kong and beyond, while staying responsive and relevant to market demands. Our strong links with business employers also provide students with more attachment and employment opportunities, some 90% of IVE and HKDI full time Higher diploma graduates who choose to work have gained employment. |

Students who have financial needs may apply for different financial assistance schemes, such as the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme or the Non-means-tested Loans Scheme for government subvented full-time Higher Diploma programmes. Students taking government non-subvented full-time programmes can apply for other financial assistance schemes, such as Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-Secondary Students, VTC Fee Remission Scheme or Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students. |
