Student Development
Student Development includes the Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme and Student Development Services. The SWPD Programme is a holistic, structured programme embedded in the curriculum. It aims at enhancing students' self-confidence and improving their EQ, as well as equipping them with appropriate transferable skills, attitudes and values with emphasis on both theory and application. The Student Development Office provides a wide range of student development services including personal and career counseling, career development programmes, leadership training, sports and recreational activities and consultancy for the Student Union and Societies that extend students' learning outside the classroom. Through the integration of curriculum and co-curricular activities, students are able to develop attributes in Teamwork, Problem Solving, Communication, Improving Learning and Performance, Integrative Issues on Self, Family, Work and Society, Career Image and Ethics, Self-confidence and EQ, and Career Development and Work Attitude and cultivate the core values of Creativity, Action, Society and Ethics, leading to whole person development.
