IVE Business Administration Discipline signs MOU with leading cosmetics retailer to build students’ professional image

30 June 2016

While studying and acquiring knowledge are vitally important for young people entering today’s competitive workplace, personal grooming and a professional image are also essential requirements and should be part of every student’s tool kit.

Accordingly, to enhance student understanding of both business etiquette and personal grooming, the Business Administration Discipline of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sa Sa International Holdings Limited (Sa Sa) today (30 June). The MOU represents a collaboration between the two parties in launching a course on social etiquette and personal grooming, with a view to training up talents equipped with both business knowledge and a professional image.

Starting from academic year 2016/17, the 20 higher diploma programmes provided by IVE Business Administration Discipline will incorporate a module of ‘Business Ethics and Etiquette’ to teach professional ethics of the business world and know-how on personal grooming. Students of the IVE Business Administration Discipline will receive training on personal grooming and image building at Sa Sa’s training centre. Industry input was tapped in the design of the curriculum and the assessment of learning outcomes. The IVE Hotel, Service and Tourism Studies Discipline will also provide training on table etiquette.
