Onsite applications at Youth College DVE Interview Day for Secondary 3 students

26 March 2015

Youth College provides Diploma in Vocational Education (DVE) programmes for students above Secondary 3. This Saturday (28 March) the College will hold the DVE Interview Day at Youth College (Kwai Fong). Interested students can apply for the programme of their choice and attend the interview at the same time on site.

The flexibly-designed DVE programmes are credit-based, providing a multi-entry and multi-exit progression pathway. According to their learning interests, students can choose among 16 specialised vocational programmes under the three major study areas of "Business and Services", "Engineering" and "Design and Technology". The DVE programmes help them to build a solid foundation for further studies and employment. Upon satisfactory completion of a DVE programme, graduates can apply for the higher diploma programmes of other member institutions of the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to obtain a higher academic qualification. Graduates applying for specific programmes can join the Earn and Learn Pilot Scheme that integrates structured classroom learning with on-the-job training for the students to earn a stable salary while studying simultaneously.

At Youth College, a balanced curriculum covering generic, vocational and student development modules is offered to nurture all-round students and pave the way for their future success. Programmes covering areas like business, information technology and watch and clock meet the needs of different industries. Take the DVE (Business) programme as an example. It teaches subjects and skills as diverse as management, accounting, customer service, economics and trading.
