Physical Education

Physical Education (PE) Section believes that engaging in PE activities is not only about the enrichment of sports skills and becoming fit but also about the value of active lifestyle and being knowledgeable to achieve one’s optimum well-being through a variety of physical activities.

Pursuing excellence in sports and sustainability in exercise is valued as a mean to maintain active way of life.

Therefore, our PE professionals offer a variety of PE programmes, including IVE Sports Team, VTC Athletic Meet, Inter Campus Ball Games, intra campus sports activities, PE core programmes and Hong Kong Award for Young People (HKAYP). This year, a pilot project, named as Road to Marathon, is organized to fortify the tenacity and perseverance of our young adults, and help to establish a positive attitude toward life with boosted resilience. Last but not least, SWPD (PE) curricula arouse students’ awareness, interests and retention in optimization of their physical and mental health.

PE teachers act as the facilitators of learning, thus empowering our students to become a more promising workforce, and play an active and essential role in the construction of a more fulfilling community and society.

"In addition to the knowledge learnt in my three years at VTC, I joined the women volleyball team organized by SDO in which I have gained satisfaction and self-confidence and known the way to cooperate with teammates. It has also raised my passion in sports. Moreover, physical education courses organized by SDO have broadened me with a lot of new and interesting sports and enriched my VTC life."
