Three IVE students swept the championship (Cheung Man Yuk), second (Cheung Tsz Yiu, Tinny) and third (Tsang Ka Lai) runners-up in the Beijing Olympic Jewellery Design Competition initiated by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Company Limited.

The championship went to Cheung Man Yuk, a student of Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design and Technology. Her creative design combined the Chinese traditional Fai-chun and elements of Beijing Olympic Games.

IVE students bagged all 6 prizes of the student group in the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition 2006.

IVE students of Higher Diploma in Transport and Logistics Studies won a victory over other universities in the 10th Inter-university Logistics Study Contest organized by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong.

"Game Boy" directed by Po Ka Wai, an IVE student of Higher Diploma in Digital Film and Television won the best film of the 2nd Fresh Wave Joint-U Short Film Competition in Hong Kong International Film Festival.

Po's fellow students also won the prizes in the Logo Design Competition (Open Group) and the News Reporting Competition (Filmmaking Group) in Point@Media Awards 2007 of the 3rd Inter-School Media Education Competitions.

IVE Women Volleyball Team won again the championship in the Volleyball Competition 2006-07 organized by University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, a proven record of their talents in sports.

IVE Taekwondo Team won 3 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze medals in the Taekwondo Competition 2006-07 organized by University Sports Federation of Hong Kong. The team also won the men's team, women's team champion and the overall champion.

IVE graduates of Higher Diploma in Fashion Design and Graphic Design swept all three YIC Young Design Talent Awards under the HKDC Award 2007 organised by The Hong Kong Design Centre. Each award amounts to HK$ 250,000 set aside specifically for overseas degree studies.
