The Institute was established in 1993 as the Hong Kong Technical College (Tsing Yi) and became part of the IVE system in 1999.
Our academic staff are highly qualified professionals and they are supported by a team of dedicated technical and administrative staff. We also have many advanced equipment and facilities to support course delivery and self learning. For example, there are over 2,000 PCs in the campus for students’ use, and many of them are available for free-booking.
During the past few years, despite the downturn in the local economy, the employment rate of our graduates has been consistently around 90%. To fulfill the aspiration of many students for further education, we have established articulation with local and overseas universities so that students may study towards a bachelor’s degree in Hong Kong. To ensure our courses meet the needs of the employers, we invited prominent professionals from industry and commerce to participate in our programme boards and advisory committees. Through their participation, the curricula of the courses are enhanced and updated.
