Welcome to our Web pages, which provide information about the Department of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi). On these pages, you will be able to find out more about the courses we offer, employment prospects for our graduates, the facilities in the Department, our staff and our activities.
The ICT Department offers courses in Software Engineering, Computer Systems Administration, Telecommunications & Networking, Information Technology for Logistics, Mobile and Internet Games Development, Information and Communications Technology and Business Analysis, in full-time and part-time evening modes. Our full-time courses are designed for Form Five and Form Seven graduates with no previous background in statistics, computing or engineering. The part-time evening courses are designed for graduates of Certificate, Diploma or Higher Certificate courses in various disciplines.  You may refer to our Web Pages for the details of different courses.

The ICT Department is well equipped with computers, software and a modern IT infrastructure, and our students are exposed to up-to-date equipment, technology and techniques. Our main goal is to train and educate our students to become effective and valued members of the workforce of Hong Kong, and we are pleased to inform you that the overwhelming majority of our previous graduates are working in relevant jobs in both the private and public sectors. We constantly review our courses and their content to ensure that they are relevant to the current job market in order to maximise the employability of students upon graduation. Our graduates have on the average enjoyed over 90% employment rate in recent years, persistently welcomed by employers.  A number of local and overseas universities also recognize our courses so that our graduates can further their studies in these universities.  According to past records, over 30% of our graduates further their studies on the average.
