The 2-student team beat the other 19 teams, many from local universities, in the final round. 30 teams of participants started in the 1st round of competition. Only the best 20 teams could proceed on to the final round. All six TY teams from various courses in the ICT Department got into the final round.
The final round of the competition focused on the application of Microsoft ISA (Internet Security and Acceleration) server systems in enterprise networks. The teams were given an enterprise scenario and they had to configure the Windows servers and an ISA firewall so as to meet the scenario's security requirement within one hour. Both the correctness and the time spent in carrying out the task were marking criteria. Our winning team impressed the judges by scoring full marks (100%) in the final round.
The event is well covered in local media including Microsoft news, e-Zone magazine and Oriental Daily.
