With the joint efforts of 20 students from the courses of HD in Human Resource Management, HD in Business Promotion and Event Management, and HD in Corporate Administration, the “Dialogue with CEO” was successfully held on 11 March. This time, the invited speaker, Dr. Dicky Szeto (CEO of Hung Fook Tong), delivered a talk on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). About 120 BSM students attended the talk and shared the invaluable experience of Dr Szeto.
In the talk, Dr. Szeto reminded students that integrity was the utmost important factor for a company to build up its brand and reputation. A company should run its business for the virtue of its customers and even the society; otherwise it will be abandoned by the public. The great adverse impacts of America’s sub-prime mortgage crises and China’s poisonous milk powder are good lessons that we should have learnt regarding CSR.
After the talk, Dr. Szeto lunched with BSM students and teaching staff. Students shared their campus life, learning, and past workplace experience with Dr. Szeto and left him a favorable impression.
