Minimum Entry Requirements: HKCEE 5 subjects - Grade E / Level 2 or above (including English Language and Mathematics) OR Diploma in Vocational Studies OR Foundation Diploma OR Foundation Certificate OR Project Yi Jin OR equivalent.
Course Aims : The course aims to provide students with the necessary skills and techniques for setting up wired and wireless networks and developing applications, particularly in various mobile devices, such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs), in order to access the Intranet and Internet. This course not only equips students with necessary professional skills to participate in the information technology employment market, but also articulates with the degree programmes of local and overseas universities. Graduates can progress to the second or third year of the degree programmes of local and overseas universities.
Career Prospects : Graduates may begin their careers as network technical support staff, network designers, mobile commerce application programmers and web application programmers, and move into posts such as network administrators, web masters or other managerial positions.

Articulation Arrangement / Credit Exemption:

Graduates can apply for admission to the following courses:

  1. Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree Programmes in Computer Science offered by the City University of Hong Kong
  2. Bachelor of Science (Hons) Programmes in Computer Studies offered by the City University of Hong Kong
  3. Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Programmes in Information Engineering offered by the City University of Hong Kong
  4. Year 3 of the Bachelor of Computing with Honours programme offered by Open University Hong Kong
  5. Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology offered by Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. (Based on the current agreement, graduates can be awarded the degree after successfully studied eight to ten credits in the programme.)

Upon admission to relevant degree courses, graduates can apply for credit exemption.  The level of exemption will be considered on individual basis.
