He has worked for Control Laser Ltd, Integrated Laser Systems Ltd, and The Welding Institute (TWI) in UK.</font></p> <p align="justify"><font size="-1" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">He joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1990 and is now the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Department Head of the Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Director of the Laser Materials Processing Unit at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. </font></p> <p align="justify"><font size="-1" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">He has published over 180 journal papers, 60 conference papers, 3 patents and two book chapters in various areas of advanced manufacturing technologies. He is also a contributing Editor of Industrial Laser Solutions, a US magazine dealing with laser technologies in manufacturing industry. She is the President of Internet Professional Association (iProA), which is a non-profit making professional organization dedicated to advancing the art and science as well as proper application of Internet technology. Dr. Tang renders her great efforts in fostering iProA¡¦s mission focuses on facilitating seamless connection and communication between the ICT industry, the Government and the public community. iProA advocacies include driving the adoption of ICT across all facets of life, bridging the digital divide to enable access to information and knowledge for all, and to create business and career opportunities for iProA members in Hong Kong, China as well as international markets. She is pleased that iProA and its members have gained wide recognition in Hong Kong.</font></p> <p><font size="-1" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Dr. Tang is also the Founder and CEO of ESRI China (Hong Kong) Limited, one of the international offices of ESRI, and the 4th largest privately-owned computer software company in the world. She is one of the highly regarded leaders in IT industry in Asia.
