Major Duties: |
(a) |
To be responsible for accounting / taxation and costing related issues; |
(b) |
To assist in preparing annual budgets, regular management reports and various financial analyses; |
(c) |
To review and enhance internal control and workflow; |
(d) |
To supervise the work of Executive Assistants (or equivalent) and / or minor grade staff, and to monitor their performance; |
(e) |
To provide clerical support for executive, managerial and professional staff in the daily operation of the operational unit and to various development projects; |
(f) |
To handle general enquiries for accounting matters; and |
(g) |
To draft simple correspondence in English and Chinese. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E / Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR |
|
(ii) |
A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR |

(iii) |
A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin; |

Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC's Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification. |
(b) |
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the capacity of Executive Assistant (or equivalent) rank; |
(c) |
Preferably with relevant work experience in accounting / audit related work; |
(d) |
Preferably with a pass in LCCI accounting subjects or with comparable professional examination results or academic qualification in accounting field; |
(e) |
Proficiency in computer software application, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; |
(f) |
Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; and |
(g) |
Ability to work independently with initiative and be a good team player. |

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours. |

Appointee(s) may be posted to any operational units to meet the Council’s operational needs. |
