Shine Skills Centre is a member of the VTC Group. In a caring environment, the Centre provides a wide range of industry-specific skill training and support services for people with disabilities aged 15 or above to enhance their employability and support their integration into the society. |

Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To conduct classes and practical training for students with special educational needs (SEN); |
|
(b) |
To organise extra-curricular activities for students with SEN and undertake teaching related administrative duties including preparation of training materials, student assessment and maintain training-related records; |
|
(c) |
To monitor the operation of relevant training workshops including routine repair and maintenance of equipment / facilities, making / producing special tools and equipment for training, and maintaining inventories records; |
|
(d) |
To assist in preparing estimates of equipment and consumable materials; |
|
(e) |
To assist in developing curriculum, new projects, services and programmes; and |
|
(f) |
To assist in outreach training. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree or a professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(c) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; |
|
(d) |
Preferably with some relevant teaching and / or field experience in conducting vocational skills training and / or developing new training programmes for students with SEN; leading discipline projects and student services, and / or experience in academic programme administration; and |
|
(e) |
Knowledge and experience in working with students with SEN will be an advantage. |

(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English and Chinese. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside centres. |
|
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
