    VTC Kwai Chung Complex open day


    The VTC Kwai Chung Complex will hold its Open Day this Friday and Saturday (11 and 12 March) to showcase all training facilities and student works as well as live performances and demonstrations, in particular to the Secondary 3 to 5 school leavers and their parents who will be able to understand more about the Diploma in Vocational Education (DVE) programmes provided by the Youth College. Admission is free. Members of the public are welcome.
     
    During the Open Day, the Pro-Act Training and Development Centres housed in the Complex that offer practical training to students of the Youth College will display the advanced training facilities of the industries of electrical, automobile, fashion textiles, welding and gas. Students will be arranged to demonstrate the state-of-the-art equipment like computer-aided embroidery and coupling of air-conditioning systems. The Language Centre of the Youth College will host games like tongue twisters to share the fun with visitors.
     
    The Youth College is a member of VTC Group. The College helps youths above Secondary three grow and shine with its flexible progression pathways, vibrant learning environment and whole-person development programmes. Whether gaining valuable skill sets and qualifications for employment or exploring one's interest in a particular subject for further study, the Youth College opens up options to meet diverse student needs. This enables youths to realise their full potential and gain direction. The Youth College has 7 campuses located respectively in Kowloon Bay, Kwai Chung, Tseung Kwan O, Pokfulam, Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wai and Kwai Fong.

    The Pro-Act by VTC is a member of VTC Group. With a total of 12 Training and Development Centres, Pro-Act by VTC provides comprehensive practical training and support services to equip students with the competence and know-how to promote professional development. To meet the developmental needs of industries, Pro-Act offers a range of quality training programmes and development solutions for corporations and individuals. It also provides consulting services to organisations to support industry development. In addition, Pro-Act operates the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Scheme, Engineering Graduate Training Scheme, New Technology Training Scheme and trade testing for various trades to help in-service employees attain recognised qualifications.

    The well-equipped Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Automobile) provides students with vocational training that meets the needs of the industry.
    The Language Centre of the Youth College provides language training for DVE students in a fun-filled way. During the Open Day, various games will be set up to share the fun with visitors.
