Despite that the last round of Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) has already closed, a lot of HKCEE holders or those possessing equivalent qualifications would still wish to pursue further studies for their future career. The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) and the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) will offer some 7,000 places in 100 full-time higher diploma, diploma and foundation diploma courses for these students in the 2011/12 academic year. 
 
Courses of the IVE and the HKDI are comprehensive with balanced theoretical and practical training, spanning 7 major disciplines to meet aspirations of different students. Interested parties can submit their application and course choices as from today (1 February) to 15 March. Applicants will receive updated course information and be arranged for interviews.
 
The minimum entrance requirements for higher diploma and diploma courses are 5 HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 including English Language and Chinese Language, whereas foundation diploma courses require completion of Secondary 5.   
 
Applicants should make online application via the “Web-based Admissions System”at the VTC Prospectus and Admissions Homepage at www.vtc.edu.hk/admission. The application fee is HK$120. Updated course information is available at www.vtc.edu.hk/study. Interested parties are also welcome to visit the VTC booth at the coming Education & Careers Expo to be held from 17 to 20 February at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai.
