Can a patient take Western medicine and Chinese medicine at the same time?
Western and Chinese medicine practitioners have different views on diet for patients. Which is right?
There is a saying that Western medicine cures the symptoms whereas Chinese medicine cures the disease. Is this true?
To answer these questions, the New Talents Press under the Vocational Training Council (VTC) has invited Dr Bill GUAN, author of“You are the Best Chinese Doctor for Yourself” to give a talk on 19 November (Saturday) on popular fallacy about Chinese medicine and provide tips on the proper ways of preserving one’s health. He will also talk about the treatment for uterine fibroids and menstrual pain which are common among females.

Dr Bill GUAN is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner. He is currently a teacher of the Department of Applied Science at IVE. Since 1997, he has been involved in the development and manufacture of proprietary Chinese medicines, general practices in Chinese medicine and clinical trials research projects. He also provides consultancy service to the Chinese pharmaceutical industry.
