    Term Executive Assistant II
    School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE)

    The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC).  It offers top-up bachelor degree and master’s degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree and degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities.  Applications are now invited for Term Executive Assistant II post at SHAPE (Sha Tin).
    Major Duties:
    (a) To provide clerical support to the student admission and course administration teams, including creation and maintenance of database, preparation of statistics and reports;
    (b) To perform general administrative duties and handle enquiries;
    (c) To assist in website maintenance and preparation of marketing materials, and
    (d) To provide logistics support in events.
    (a) (i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
      (ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR
      (iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin;
    * Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC's Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
    (b) Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is definitely an advantage;
    (c) Proficiency in computer software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
    (d) Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills;
    (e) Detail-minded, able to work independently and be a good team player; and
    (f) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience.
    (1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.
    (2) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or work on shift duty.
    (3) Applicants who have responded to the advertisements in the past three months need not re-apply.
