    Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer / Teaching Associate
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan)

    Modules under the Higher Diploma in Management for Security and Disciplined Services:
    (i) Leadership and Management of Disciplined Services (mid Jan - May 2020)
    (ii) Crisis Management and Negotiations Technique (mid Jan - May 2020)
    (iii) Knowledge Management for Disciplined Services (mid May – Aug 2020)
    (iv) Crowd Management on Challenging Situation (mid May – Aug 2020)
     
     
    Major Duties of Lecturer:
    (a)

         		 To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned module(s), including the preparation of teaching materials, supervision of students’ projects, marking students’ assessments and other academic activities such as organizing field visits;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and
    (c) To attend meetings when necessary.
     
    Requirements for Lecturer:
    (a)  A recognized degree in related discipline;
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching / industry experience;
    (c)  Good communication and presentation skills in English; 
    (d) A good team player with a proactive attitude; and
    (e) For module (i), (iii) and (iv), work experience in teaching Disciplined Forces is preferred.
         
    Notes:
    (1) Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Part-time (Daytime) Teaching Associate.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.

    Applicants not invited for interview within 10 weeks from the closing date may consider their applications unsuccessful.
