Earn and Learn : Under the scheme, participants will receive on-the-job training and classroom learning at the same time. A steady income and a recognised qualification are guaranteed

Professional Career after Scheme Completion : Upon completion of the scheme, graduates of Higher Diploma programmes will be entitled to a monthly salary not less than $12,000

Study Arrangement

The first year

Participants will study a one-year full-time Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programme at the Youth College.

The second to fifth years

Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. Employers will also sponsor apprentices to study the part-time-day-release Higher Diploma programme.


Allowance & Salary*

The second to fourth years

Participants will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,500 government allowance. The total monthly income will be above $10,000.

The fifth year

Full-time on-the-job training with a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000.

* Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries.
- A maximum total subsidy of $30,800 from the Construction Industry Council (CIC) will be given to participants of Trainee Subsidy Scheme (TSS)

Tuition Fees

 
  • Participants will need to pay the tuition fees for DVE programme.
  • Employers will sponsor the tuition fees for the Higher Diploma programme.
