Application Information

Target Students
Current Secondary 3 students who will progress to Secondary 4 in school year 2007/08

Application

Mode 1 :
Classes will be in 3 to 4 hours and held on Saturday mornings or afternoons. Students may be required to attend a summer block subject to requirements of individual courses. Classes will commence on 22 September 2007 and last until November/December 2008 (i.e. the first term of S5 year).
Mode 2 :
Subject to mutual agreement with school and the VTC, classes can be conducted on weekdays or Saturdays. Summer block may also be arranged. Class venue can be flexibly arranged in either IVE campuses, Training and Development Centres of the VTC or school premises subject to facilities and equipment required for the course. Class will commence in September 2007 and last until November/December 2008.

Course Duration
180 hours

Medium of Instruction
Cantonese supplemented by English teaching materials. Some of the courses can also be delivered in English.

Application
Applications should be made to the EMB from end of April to mid May 2007 through the secondary schools in which applicants are studying. Details can be obtained from the career master in the secondary schools.

Selection Criteria
Applicants will be selected according to their interests and aptitude for the course(s) applied. Please refer to the course information for detailed arrangement for each course.

Course Fee
Course fee ranges from $6,000 to $7,700 and (payment by two installments). Students are required to pay 18% of the course fee, i.e. $1,080 to $1,386 respectively.
