(The Level 3 and Level 4 classes offered by IVE (Chai Wan) will be conducted at IVE (Haking Wong) until AY 2014/15.
Students are expected to take 3 to 4 evenings per week and then complete the programme by AY 2014/15.  Students not completing the awards by AY 2014/15 will be required to take the remaining modules at IVE (Lee Wai Lee).)

Entrance Requirements

Entrance Requirements for Level 2 (Note 1):

HKCEE 5 subjects - Grade E / Level 2 or above (including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics) OR Diploma in Vocational Studies OR Foundation Diploma OR Foundation Certificate OR Project Yi Jin OR equivalent.

Entrance Requirements for Level 3 (Note 1):

- Possessing Certificate in Computing; OR
- HKALE (1 A-Level subject or 2 AS-Level subjects at Grade E or above) AND HKCEE (5 subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics); OR
- Equivalent.
(Depending on the relevancy of the academic qualification, applicants may be required to study bridging / additional modules.)

Entrance Requirements for Level 4:

Possessing Diploma in IT OR equivalent. Holders of a IVE Diploma / Higher Certificate in IT Discipline may also apply.

Introduction

The programme provides students with the IT applications for business, electronic commerce professional knowledge and practical technological skills with the development and management of IT-based business systems in industrial and commercial enterprises. It also emphasizes on the integration and application of both business and information technology in work environment.

Graduates can apply for admission to relevant degree courses offered by local and overseas universities. Currently, there is a top-up degree programme offered by VTC in collaboration with Leeds Metropolitan University, UK.

Note(s):
  1. HKCEE English Language taken in 2006 or before should be at Grade E or above (Syllabus B) / Grade C or above (Syllabus A).
  2. Students admitted to Level 2 will be required to take the Structured Whole Person Development Module(s) if they have less than 2 years of full-time work experience before graduation. The same requirement will apply to students admitted to Level 3 and Level 4 if they have less than 1.5 year and 1 year of full-time work experience respectively before graduation.   3. A Module Value of one is equivalent to 15 curriculum hours, including class contact hours and self-guided learning.
