[The durations of study listed above are estimated on assumption that students can follow the recommended study pace of 4 evenings per week, and some Saturday afternoons / evenings. Students may also choose their own pace of study. Please select the maximum number of evenings that you are available for classes per week in the application form.]

Please also note that some modules will be offered in Summer Semester. Students will have classes during Summer.

Entrance Requirements

Entrance Requirements for Level 2 (Note 1):

HKCEE 5 subjects - Grade E / Level 2 or above (including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics) OR Diploma in Vocational Studies OR Foundation Diploma OR Foundation Certificate OR Project Yi Jin OR equivalent.

Entrance Requirements for Level 3:

Possessing Certificate in Multimedia and Internet Technology OR equivalent. Holders of a IVE Certificate in IT Discipline may also apply.

Entrance Requirements for Level 4:

(Classes will commence in Spring Semester, late January 2012)
Possessing Diploma in Multimedia and Internet Technology / Computer Games and Animation OR equivalent. Holders of a IVE Diploma / Higher Certificate in IT Discipline may also apply.
Introduction

The course provides multi-media knowledge and skills of digital technology, covering areas in audio and video production, computer game, animation, TV commercial, exhibition, entertainment and other multi-media production.

Articulation

Graduates can apply to the Bachelor degree course in Multimedia and Entertainment Technology offered by Leeds Metropolitan University (Third Year). The University has also joined in partnership with IVE to enable graduates to continue their studies in Hong Kong to gain the BSc (Hons) degree in 18 months (Part-time).
Upon admission to relevant degree courses, graduates can apply for credit exemption. The level of exemption will be considered on individual basis.
Note(s):
  1. HKCEE English Language taken in 2006 or before should be at Grade E or above (Syllabus B) / Grade C or above in (Syllabus A).
  2. Students admitted to Level 2 will be required to take the Structured Whole Person Development Module(s) if they have less than 2 years of full-time work experience before graduation. The same requirement will apply to students admitted to Level 3 and Level 4 if they have less than 1.5 year and 1 year of full-time work experience respectively before graduation.
  3. A Module Value of one is equivalent to 15 curriculum hours, including class contact hours and self-guided learning.
