Entrance Requirements

HKCEE 5 subjects - Grade E / Level 2 or above (including English Language and Chinese Language) OR Diploma in Vocational Studies OR Foundation Diploma OR Foundation Certificate OR Project Yi Jin OR equivalent.
Please note :
All courses in the Hotel, Service and Tourism Studies Discipline include compulsory industrial attachment. Relevant work may involve shifts and may take place during evenings, weekends or holidays.

Prospects |
Graduates can start their careers at entry level. After gaining further operational experience, they will rise to positions with supervisory or middle management responsibility, and possibly to even higher levels. |
Articulation Arrangement/ Credit Exemption

Graduates can apply for admission to Year 4 of the full-time Higher Diploma in International Hospitality Management offered by IVE (Haking Wong). |

Note(s):
- Applicants who took HKCEE English Language in 2006 or before should attain Grade E or above (Syllabus B) / Grade C or above (Syllabus A).
- Successful completion of one Education Bureau's Applied Learning (ApL) course (formerly known as Career-oriented Curriculum (COC) courses) is recognised as comparable to one HKCEE subject pass.
- VTC reserves the right to cancel any course, revise course content or change the offering campus(es) before class commencement if circumstances so warrant.
- Applicable to 1-year Foundation Diploma Courses and 4-year Higher Diploma Courses (Entry to Year 1) : Applicants who obtained the following results in the HKCEE English Language, when admitted to this course, will be required to enroll separately on the English Foundation Programme (EFP) (90 hours) offered by VTC :
- below Level 1; or
- below Grade F in Syllabus B or below Grade D in Syllabus A in or before 2006; or
- have not taken the HKCEE English Language examination.
The EFP course fee is HK$2,650 for AY2010 / 11. There will be a financial assistance scheme for students in need.
