Application for AY 2012 / 13 Full-time Degree and Higher Diploma Programmes :

Notes on Applications :
If you submit an application on or before 30 April 2012, you will :
-
be invited to attend an interview (if applicable);
-
obtain offer results in mid-June 2012;
-
receive up-to-date programme and admission information via email or SMS.
Note : Programmes listed in this homepage accept applications from local applicants.
(Non-Hong Kong residents who require a student visa or entry permit issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department to enter Hong Kong for the purpose of education are classified as non-local applicants. Please contact the VTC International Students Office for details of programmes offered to international or Mainland applicants in the 2012/13 academic year and admission-related matters. Web-based Admissions System |

Please submit your application via the "Web-based Admissions System" between 1 March and 30 April 2012. You must register for an account to access the system first, and then follow the prescribed steps and instructions to complete your application. The System's interface is shown below :

Please provide a valid and correct mobile phone number and email address in your application. Important information will be sent to you by SMS and email.

After submitting the application, you should complete the Change of Particulars Notification Form and inform the VTC Admissions Office immediately of any changes to your personal particulars.

The fee for online applications submitted from 1 March to 30 April 2012 is HK$300. You may choose to pay by one of the following methods (cheque and cash are not accepted).

You can pay through your bank account or credit card* using the internet banking services provided by the following banks. Please visit the respective bank websites and enter the 14-digit payment number to pay the application fee:

You may pay the application fee via the "PayDollar" platform in the "Web-based Admissions System" :

Enter the "Card Number" and select the "Expiry Date"

Enter the "Name" as shown on the credit card

Reconfirm your payment details, then click "Confirm"
* If you have already registered Verified By VISA / MasterCard SecureCode, you will be required by your issuing bank to provide corresponding password
* The bank will debit your credit card account once the payment is confirmed.

Please keep your payment receipt / payment reference number or print out the payment results for your records.

The VTC Admissions Office will normally take two working days to verify the application fee payment record. You may login to "Web-based Admissions System" to check your application status and payment record 3 working days after you have settled the payment. If your payment record is not shown in the system by then, please contact the VTC Admissions Office immediately (hotline : 28976111).

Academic Qualifications |

Local Qualifications |

If you took or will take the HKCEE and / or HKALE during 2003 - 2012, your results will be extracted from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority’s records.
-
If you have taken the HKCEE and / or HKALE during 2002 or before, please upload copies of the result slips.
-
If you have obtained other qualifications such as Project Yi Jin, or recognised Applied Learning (ApL) courses, please give relevant details in the section on Other Local Qualifications and upload copies of the result slips.

Qualifications obtained in Mainland China |

If you do NOT have Hong Kong public examination result and wish to apply with qualifications obtained in Mainland China –
-
You should have completed Senior Secondary 3 Education in Mainland China; and
-
Assessment will be based on results obtained in the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE).

Please give relevant details in the section on Mainland China / Non-local Qualifications and upload copies of the result slips.

If you have obtained a TOEFL score or the result of IELTS, please give relevant details in the section on English Proficiency, and upload copies of the result slips.

Applications will be assessed individually by the departments concerned.

Other Non-local Qualifications |

Other non-local qualifications refer to academic qualifications obtained in secondary or tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong and Mainland China. If you have obtained a result in GCSE, IGCSE or GCE examinations, an International Baccalaureate (IB) or other overseas qualifications please give relevant details in the section on Mainland China / Non-local Qualifications and upload copies of the result slips.

If you have obtained a TOEFL score or the result of IELTS, please give relevant details in the section on English Proficiency and upload copies of the result slips.

Applications with non-local qualifications, including language qualifications will be assessed individually by the departments concerned.

Notes :
If you encounter difficulties in uploading copies of the result slips / qualification / supporting documents to the system, you may submit copies of relevant document to the VTC Admissions Office on or before 30 April 2012. Please write down your name in English, HKID card number and contact phone number on the back of the copies.
