Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; OR VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education; OR Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin; OR Equivalent.
This programme prepares students with both arts & cultural knowledge and business sensibilities to plan, operate and promote various arts and cultural venues and events. It trains students on the use of creativity to design innovative arts and cultural activities for engaging audience to experience the vibrant of these industries.
This programme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.
This is the first batch of higher diploma programmes adopting dual-track learning approach by going through workplace training and receiving classroom teaching at the same time.
Graduates can pursue their marketing, events planning and curating, production, operation and education careers in arts and cultural sectors, including various creative & popular cultural events, theatres, galleries, and museums.
Graduates can pursue relevant top-up degrees locally or overseas. They can apply for admission to the top-up degree programme offered by the overseas university below in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) :
This programme is planning to collaborate with West Kowloon Cultural District. The Interdisciplinary Unit will invite guest speakers from various professions and arrange related workplace attachments for students to enhance their professional knowledge and employability.
Students are eligible to apply for student membership of the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA).
Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
