Entrance Requirements
Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; OR VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education; OR Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin; OR Equivalent.
Remarks :
  1. An "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in an HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject (Category B subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2", "Level 3" and "Level 4" respectively, and a maximum of two ApL subjects (excluding ApL(C)) can be counted for admission purpose.
  2. A "Grade D or E" and a "Grade C or above" in an HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively, and one Other Language subject can be counted for admission purpose.
  3. Holders of Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) award upon successful completion of prescribed modules are eligible to apply for Higher Diploma Programmes.
Programme Aims
This programme focuses on architectural design, technology and practical skills. Architectural design builds on the integration of human beings, buildings and the environment. The architect’s work contributes to provide a comfortable and pleasant living environment for the human beings.
 
The programme aims to provide a sound education and training for students to play a complementary role in preparation of design, drawings production, statutory submissions, and the administration of contracts of building projects. The programme enables students to acquire the academic attainments required for individual professional development and further study leading to a career of architect or related professionals; it also provides special training for the rapidly developing area of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in which some past graduates had become specialists and Team Managers.
 
This progamme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.
Career Prospects
Graduates may be employed in Architectural / Interior Design Firms, Maintenance Companies, Surveying Firms, Property Developers, Main Contractors and Sub-contractors, Urban Renewal Authority, Architectural Services Department, Housing Authority, Housing Society and other related Government Departments, as draftsmen, Architectural Technicians, BIM Technicians, assistant Interior Designers, building inspectors, maintenance supervisors, building surveying assistants, project officers and co-ordinators. They can pursue further study for career advancement leading to a career of architect or related professionals.

Professional Recognition
The programme was accredited by the professional body listed below as satisfying the academic requirements for Associate Member, and recognised by the Buildings Department as eligible to become Grade T1 to T3 of stipulated areas of the Technically Competent Person (TCP) with suitable experience in the Site Supervision Plan issued under the Buildings Ordinance:
  1. Academic requirements for TCP T1 to T3 of stipulated areas
  2. Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers
  3. Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists

Graduates completed the required module will be issued with Green Cards which fulfills the Mandatory Basic Safety Training requirement for working in construction sites.
 
Graduates with stipulated experience are eligible to be considered by Buildings Department to fit into Grade T1 to T3 of the Technically Competent Person (TCP) in the Site Supervision Plan issued under the Buildings Ordinance.
