Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; OR VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education; OR Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin; OR Equivalent.
The aims of the programme are to provide students with professional knowledge and skills to effectively perform product and service marketing through events and exhibitions in market.
Students will have opportunities to execute their ideas from trainings on event marketing strategy in real-life working environment. Participating in mega events or major exhibitions under Dual-Track Scheme could equip students for event professionals.
Graduates may take up entry level positions in a wide range of event marketing & management, both in private and public sectors. These include Marketing Trainee, Marketing Coordinator, Sales Coordinator, Marketing Communications Officer, Advertising Assistant, Account Executive, Marketing Executive, Event & Exhibition Marketer, Event Coordinator, Event Assistant, Event Officer, Customer Services Officer, Wedding Planner.
Graduates can pursue relevant degrees locally or overseas. They can also apply for admission to the top-up degree programmes in Hong Kong offered by the following universities in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) :
The programme is recognized by the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing. Students can apply for Student Member and graduates can apply for Associate Member (AHKIM).
